Arc’teryx Montréal to unveil a new shopping experience for outdoor enthusiasts

November 10, 2017

Expansion and new concept for the country’s first Arc’teryx store

Montreal, November 10, 2017 – The Arc’teryx Montreal team is undertaking a major renovation and expansion project as it prepares to introduce a new shopping experience aligned to the active lifestyle and performance apparel preferences of its clientele.

In November, Quebec’s only Arc’teryx store will open the doors on a venue designed to enhance consumer engagement, both in-store and online. In addition to showcasing its high end, impeccably designed and beautifully functional clothing collections, the Canadian brand will build on the grand opening to inaugurate a new space that encourages conversation and participation.

“Community spirit is particularly vibrant in Montreal, and that’s why we’ve designed a friendly, welcoming store that will enable outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a shopping experience that’s inspiring, engaging and impactful,” explains Jeff Parent, Store General Manager and Community Manager for Arc’teryx in Quebec.

Visitors will be invited to spend time in the store and connect with this new 1,500 ft2 hub by, for example, enjoying a beverage at the coffee bar, logging onto the free WiFi, making use of the community meeting room, or attending one of the clinics, seminars or other events on offer.

As active as ever in running, ski, climbing and cycling gear, the brand is making increasing inroads in the urban and after-sport performance apparel market, with its collections designed for a range of urban activities and everyday life.

“Long recognized for its leading-edge technological expertise, innovative design and use of high-performance materials, Arc’teryx today does business on every continent. We’re therefore delighted to announce this investment, which exemplifies our ongoing drive to offer Montrealers the best Arc’teryx experience possible while strengthening our bond with them,” states Adam Ketcheson, Vice-President, Marketing at Arc’teryx.

“The Arc’teryx approach consists of excelling on the web, in our online sales and across our international network of stores and ensuring a robust, connected presence among communities and retailers in all countries,” he adds.
Local emphasis, global vision
Included in the activities planned for the Montreal store grand opening is the highly popular First 50, a global event that always attracts plenty of attention, with the first 50 customers through the doors receiving generous gift bags containing a selection of Arc’teryx products.

“Our stores are hubs designed with the local outdoor community in mind. As such, they offer consumers the chance to learn more about the activities targeted by our clothing and gear. We want to inspire people to head to the great outdoors, have fun, and explore the wonders of unspoilt nature,” continues Adam.
