Montreal, January 22nd 2018 - this Saturday January 27th, Igloofest will open its site for a free afternoon, allowing friends of all ages to experience all of Igloofest's usual night time activities, by day. This Off-Igloofest event will take place from 2PM to 7PM, and will feature winter cooking to keep you warm courtesy of an invited chef, extraordinary visuals, and of course music by expert DJs who know how to party. It's an exceptional opportunity for families and friends to discover Igloofest, and even explore its backstage areas.

Discover the magic that makes Igloofest a can't-miss winter event
Expect a party at Quai Jacques-Cartier this Saturday as families, future festival-goers of all ages and even veterans who want to experience Igloofest with their kids are able to enjoy all of the site's activities starting at 2PM. They'll find games of skill and friendly competitions at the Igloovilage, including the breathtaking Iglooslide, giant bean toss games, a tug-of-war game and the ever-impressive "Christmas Tree Toss." Attendees will also dine in style thanks to invited chef Danny St-Pierre, who'll offer his famous reverse poutine for the occasion, and delights from the outdoor Yeti Grill, the Igloosnack, and the chance to roast marshmallows with friends around an open fire. After immortalizing the day at the site's photo studio, curious visitors will even be able to go check out Igloofest's backstage area, exceptionally open for this special day.

Music and multicolour visuals
Of course, Igloofest is first and foremost a dance party and everyone will be able to shake a hip over at the Videotron stage alongside Montreal artists Tupi Collective, Tizi and our beloved Poirier, who has rocked many a party with us. And for a complete and totally immersive experience, the site will feature live lighting and original visuals by VJ Binocle as night falls, starting at 5PM.

The entire Old Port joins in the party!
For this special occasion, Igloofest has invited its Old Port neighbours to join the fun with special rates. Visitors will be able to fly over the surrounding area like a bird thanks to MTL Zipline, which will offer 50% off regular pricing (10$ per person), or take it easy and enjoy a panoramic view aboard La Grande Roue de Montréal, which will cost 10$ (tax included) for adults (ages 13 and over) with FREE entry for children (ages 12 and under). These festive fares will be available on site, at the entrance of each activity.

Igloofest: open for free and to everyone! Spread the word, gather your family and friends and come experience an unforgettable day!
